Son of the family who once owned the illustrious Domaine de la Pousse d’Or, Nicolas Potel established his négociant label, Maison Roche de Bellene, in 2008. A true Bourguignon, Nicolas’ unrivalled network of grower-suppliers allows him to source fruit from some of the most sought-after parcels in the Côte. His focus remains on sourcing fruit from well-sited, venerable vines and employing sustainable viticulture. The Maison Roche de Bellene label is synonymous with attractive, well-priced Burgundy wines. Nicolas chose the name 'Bellene' in homage to the ancient Roman name for Beaune, reflecting the region’s deep history and his family’s connection to it.

Tasting Notes

The 2022 vintage opens with aromas of fresh citrus fruits, green apple, and subtle floral notes, complemented by hints of hazelnut and light oak. On the palate, the wine is well-rounded, with bright acidity and a creamy texture. Flavours of lemon, apple, and a touch of minerality are balanced by a delicate oak influence, leading to a fresh and smooth finish.
