What makes Doppio Passo Primitivo so beautifully smooth? The answer lies in the name. Doppio Passo means double step. The grapes are harvested in two stages - one at perfect ripeness, the second later in the season when the fruit becomes even richer and more concentrated. When these two harvests are brought together, the result is a red wine that is soft, silky and exceptionally full-bodied, layered with ripe blackberry, cherry and forest fruit character.
