Meet The Family
“Every wine has a story, join me for this one” - Sean Brennan
The Brennan Family first arrived in New Zealand from Ireland on the SS Otaki in 1877. Sean’s father, Dr. Sir Murray Brennan, was born in Auckland and studied medicine at the University of Otago. He was always drawn to Central Otago and the family first purchased land here in the 1970’s. In 1994, the Brennan family bought the land in Gibbston and began establishing the vineyard, planting some of the first vines in this region and haven’t looked back.
The Wine
Brennan’s B2 Pinot Noir expresses a terroir which is so very abstract in comparison to many other winemaking regions of the world, by encapsulating bright and aromatic fruit characters during the fermentation and barrel ageing process. Its annual bottling represent the niche end of Central Otago Pinot Noir and the B2 as some of the best value wine in the district.
