Tasting Notes

A deep crimson hue in the glass hints at the intensity within. Fresh and expressive aromas of prune, white pepper, and herbal notes of rosemary, thyme, and eucalyptus rise from the glass. The mid-palate is rounded and smooth, with supple tannins giving way to layers of ripe red fruits, enhanced by eight months of aging in second-fill French oak barrels.

Perfect Serve

Best enjoyed at room temperature alongside hearty stews, grilled red meats, or smoky barbecued dishes. Decanting for 30 minutes will unlock its full depth and complexity.

Artisan Craftsmanship

Francois Lurton comes from a long line of renowned Bordeaux winemakers and is known for creating distinctive, high-quality wines. Recognising the potential of the cool, ocean-influenced site at Lolol in Chile’s Colchagua Valley, he purchased the Araucano Estate in 2000. The estate now spans 26 hectares and is certified organic, following biodynamic principles to produce wines in harmony with nature. As Francois says, “Producing wine as naturally as possible is good for the environment, good for consumers, and tastes better!”
