A Tribute to Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits
Explore the refined elegance of Gevrey Chambertin Creux Brouillard Domaine Belleville 2018, a Pinot Noir crafted with precision and a deep respect for Burgundy’s exceptional terroir.
Region: The Côte de Nuits
The Côte de Nuits is a storied region in Burgundy, following a narrow strip of red iron-rich soils that stretch south from Dijon to Nuits St Georges, ending before the hill of Corton. Known as the cradle of the most elusive Pinot Noir wines, this northern half of the Côte d'Or evokes a roll call of great vineyard names: Gevrey, Vosne Romanée, Clos de Vougeot, and Musigny. Here, the finest vineyards nestle along southeast-facing limestone slopes, basking in optimal sun exposure, while lower-lying vineyards produce wines of less distinction due to clay-heavy soils.
Producer: Domaine Belleville
Founded in the heart of Rully in the early 20th century, Domaine Belleville is a beacon of Burgundy winemaking excellence. With 28 hectares of vineyards spanning the length of Burgundy, the estate produces wines of distinctive elegance and finesse. Part of the prestigious Dumont family portfolio, alongside Château de Messey (Mâconnais) and Manoir Murisaltien (Côte d'Or), Domaine Belleville exemplifies a commitment to crafting exceptional wines.
Tasting Notes
Crafted from 80-year-old vines and aged for 16 months in oak (35% new), this Pinot Noir boasts a deep ruby hue. The nose reveals layers of blackberry, blueberry, and subtle toasted bread. On the palate, it is richly fruity with integrated oak, offering complexity and a long, elegant finish.
Perfect Serve
Serve at 16–18°C for optimal enjoyment. Pair it with grilled meats, lasagne, Gruyère cheese, or pâté to highlight its sophisticated flavours.

Great service from the he Wine Shop, really quick delivery well packed and the wine was splendid.
Wine Shop offered the best price and I can highly recommend them.
My first ever wine from the Wine Shop! This is a beautifully smooth wine but which also has a bit of ‘bite’. Very happy with this wine and I’ll be back!
Bought this as a present for my 22 year old son who was 15 when he first had a taste on a D Day visit 7 years ago. The wine is just as I remembered it, smooth and round, a delicious drink. My son also enjoyed the taste, as an adult.
It doesn’t get better than this!
I love Botter chianti. It has a great peppery finish and the bottle is a delight. Quick and reliable delivery too.
Amazing wine and a 24 hours delivery service.
Excellent service. Thank you
Very moreish sparkling Pinot Grigio at a reasonable price. Light and refreshing with none of the acidity or slight chemical aftertaste you often get with sparkling wines at this price. Went through a dozen bottles far too quickly.
This full fruity , complex red is our absolute favourite!
A delightfully crisp NZ wine with a citrusy finish. Well worth the money and went down well with all who participated
This is a superb wine - full but not heavy, fruity and smooth. Perfect for sharing on an autumn evening.
Stunning depth and rich body. I can almost tell if a red wine is going to be good by the lack of a white rim around when you pour the glass. This has a lovely blood ted colour and delivers.
I'm just going to be honest here, I'm a Gavi Girl and have been trying to find this little gem for a while. It's absolutely delicious and so adaptable too. Thrilled with the price, delivery and service and happily ordering more!
A lovely drink and remarkably good value . Smooth and buttery with that unmistakable Napa terroir writ large. Nothing not to like.
Another fantastic wine tasting. But with a difference. Wine bottles concealed in black numbered bags 1-7. Black glasses. So we were unaware of what we were tasting, having to rely on taste and smell alone. We had tasting notes to guide our thoughts once we had made a few notes ourselves. It was great fun. I managed to at least figure out whether or not the wine was red. But missed the rose and mistook one white for red.
The Wine Shop tasting are great fun. Highly recommend.
Great evening getting confused and educated at the very interesting Mystery Wine Tasting with 7 secret wines in black bags to taste using black glasses so you couldn’t tell if it was white, rose, or red. Kelli and Caroline gave great guidance and helped us work through what we were smelling and tasting to get to a grape and country. My two fears were that (1) I wouldn’t recognise a Tempranillo (especially as it turned out to be one I have often purchased!) and (2) that I’d actually like a Merlot!!! (Luckily there wasn’t one 😂). Another brilliant wine tasting.
