About this wine

A Seductive Expression of Northern Rhône Viognier

M. Chapoutier Condrieu Invitare 2022 is a wine of exceptional aromatic richness, born from the iconic granite slopes of the northern Rhône. Crafted from 100% Viognier grown on steep terraced hillsides overlooking the river, it unfolds with intense aromas of white peach, apricot, violet and honeysuckle — the hallmarks of great Condrieu.

On the palate it is full-bodied and opulent, yet kept fresh by the natural minerality of the granite soils. The finish is long and lingering with a persistent floral quality that defines this prized appellation. Serve lightly chilled alongside rich white fish, lobster, foie gras or soft cheeses, or simply savour alone as a wine of real contemplation.

About the producer

M. Chapoutier is one of the Rhône Valley's most influential estates, with roots in Tain-l'Hermitage dating back to 1808. Under Michel Chapoutier's direction since 1990, the domaine converted entirely to biodynamic viticulture — one of the first major French producers to do so. Chapoutier crafts wines across the Northern and Southern Rhône, from benchmark Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie to Crozes-Hermitage and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, as well as wines in Australia, Portugal, and Alsace.
