This elegant blend of Cortese and Carricante showcases the best of Sicily’s high-altitude vineyards. With a pale straw-yellow hue and hints of green, this wine entices with an aromatic bouquet of peach, apple, citrus fruits, and delicate blossom. The palate is beautifully structured, offering vibrant acidity, striking minerality, and a sapid, lingering finish.

Artisan Craftsmanship

The name Carricante comes from the Sicilian dialect “u carricanti”, meaning “heavily laden,” a nod to its naturally high-yielding vines. While traditionally grown on the slopes of Mount Etna, Carricante thrives at altitude, and our vineyards sit at around 400 metres above sea level. To control its vigour and enhance quality, we use the Guillot vine training method, with strict pruning to limit production and intensify flavour.

Grapes are hand-picked before being gently de-stemmed and softly pressed with a pneumatic press. The must undergoes a slow, cool fermentation (17-19°C) for 20 days, then rests on fine lees for at least five months, with regular bâtonnage to enhance complexity and texture.
