The Estate

Vignamaggio is an organic estate with a rich history dating back to 1404. Situated in the heart of Chianti, the estate spans over 400 hectares, with more than 70 hectares dedicated to vineyards cultivated according to organic farming principles. The winery is renowned for producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region, combining traditional techniques with modern innovation. 

Tasting Note

Showing the refined side of merlot, with up to 24 months of barrel aged and a further 8 months to rest in the bottle. Bright ruby colour with a dark tone. On the nose it is intense, with notes of blue berry and liquorice. In the mouth, it is full but not dominant; the tannins are soft and sweet, the finish spicy.
