Bolgheri is one of Tuscany's most exciting wine destinations — a DOC on the Tuscan coast that rose to international fame through the Super Tuscans, wines that broke the rules of Italian wine classification and redefined what Tuscany could produce. Bell'Aja is a fine expression of Bolgheri's coastal character: a Merlot-led blend that shows real depth and elegance in the classic Super Tuscan mould.
Deep ruby red in the glass, it opens with an inviting bouquet of blackberries, cassis, and ripe plum, lifted by subtle hints of Mediterranean herbs, cedar, and a touch of vanilla from careful oak ageing. The palate is structured yet silky — generous dark fruit at the core, framed by well-integrated tannins and a lingering, spicy finish.
Pair with bistecca alla Fiorentina, slow-roasted lamb, grilled ribeye, hearty pasta with meat sauce, or a selection of aged Italian cheeses.
