François Villard is one of the most celebrated names in the northern Rhône, famed above all for his Condrieu. Les Contours de Deponcins is his brilliant introduction to that world — a pure Viognier grown on the rolling hills of the Collines Rhodaniennes, made with the same care as his grandest wines.
Expect a heady bouquet of apricot, white peach and spring blossom, leading to a silky, generous palate balanced by fresh acidity. Wonderful with roast chicken, creamy fish dishes or soft, fragrant cheeses.
