Aldwick BS40
Aldwick BS40
A selected blend from Seyval Blanc and Madeleine Angevine, which have been grown on rich clay soils at the foot of the beautiful Mendip Hills. Our BS40 expresses ripe tropical fruit on the nose along with a great structure and substance on the palate. This versatile wine goes beautifully with food but is perfect also if you're in the mood for a delicious glass beforehand.
Set amidst the rolling Mendip Hills, Aldwick Estate is a family-run vineyard producing award winning English still and sparkling wines. Located between Bristol and Bath and at 11 acres of vines, Aldwick is Somerset’s largest vineyard.
With the first vines planted in 2008, six varieties of grape are grown here at Aldwick Estate; Pinot Noir, Seyval, Bacchus, Madeline Angevine, Solaris and Regent. Vines are hand-tended throughout the year by a small team based on site.
Grapes are hand picked every September and October and pressed by wine maker Steve Brooksbank to create a range of red, white, rosé and sparkling wines.
