About this wine

Aldwick Estate is a family-run vineyard nestled in the gentle hills of Somerset on the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills, established in 2004. The estate produces carefully crafted still and sparkling wines from varieties including Seyval Blanc, Bacchus, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir — chosen for their ability to thrive in Somerset's maritime-influenced climate. BS40 takes its name from the postcode of Wrington, the Somerset village at the heart of the estate's home ground.

The wine is bone dry and bursting with fresh fruit character: pineapple, passionfruit, and citrus, with a smooth, clean palate and a refreshing finish. Elegant, food-friendly and vegan-friendly, it is an excellent companion for shellfish, grilled fish, soft cheeses and simple summer salads — a wonderful showcase for English white wine at its most expressive.
