Top Shelf Wine Tasting

Every wine shop has a top shelf, and ours holds the bottles people stop and admire but rarely take home. This is the evening we open them. Expect classic regions and serious winemaking, older vintages where we have them, and wines that reward a little time in the glass. A smaller line-up than usual, poured generously, with the space to sit with each one properly.

We will talk about what separates these wines from an everyday bottle, from where the fruit is grown to how long the wine has been given to come together, and whether the step up in price really shows once it is in front of you. With Christmas on the horizon it is a useful evening for anyone thinking about a special bottle for the table, or a gift that will be remembered long after it is opened.
