Why we chose it“Eighteen months in new French oak at this price is almost unheard of. Big, polished and properly Spanish — save it for a slow-cooked Sunday and give it an hour in the decanter.”

About this wine
Finca Constancia Altos de la Finca is a wine born of place and precision. The undulating vineyard landscape provides a patchwork of soils, each plot carrying its own distinct personality. Only the grapes from the eastern slopes, overlooking the Sierra de Gredos and basking in optimal sun exposure, are chosen for this wine — ensuring ripeness, complexity, and exceptional quality.
Fermentation takes place in medium-toasted, extra-fine-grain French oak barrels, before the wine is carefully aged for 18 months in new French oak. The result is a bold and polished red, brimming with dark fruit, cassis, and ripe plum, layered with mocha, spice, and a refined oak character. Silky tannins and a long finish make it an ideal partner for rich meats, casseroles, and slow-cooked dishes.
