It's the kind of beer that feels perfectly at home alongside Christmas gatherings, cosy evenings, and festive foods.

About the producer

Cheddar Ales was founded in 2006 by Jem Ham, a Somerset man who left banking for brewing, and works from the foot of the Mendip Hills beside Cheddar Gorge. The beers take their names from the landscape — Gorge Best bitter, the golden Potholer named for the caves above the village. A taproom opened at the brewery in 2020.
