South African Pinotage from Stellenbosch
Pinotage is South Africa's signature grape variety — a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault that produces bold, distinctive reds unique to the Cape Winelands. Kleindal draws its fruit from Stellenbosch, one of the country's most prestigious wine regions, where granite soils, mountain slopes and a maritime influence from False Bay create wines of genuine depth and character. This Pinotage shows the grape's hallmark profile: smoky dark berry, rich plum, a hint of dark chocolate and a full, plush texture on the palate.
At 12.5% ABV it is slightly lighter than many South African reds, making it versatile at the table. Pair with braised lamb, beef stew, wood-fired meats or mature cheddar.
