Why we chose it“Penfolds Bin 389 is called ‘baby Grange’ for good reason — it’s aged in the same barrels as the flagship. Cab Sauv and Shiraz in perfect proportion. A benchmark Australian red.”

About this wine
The Benchmark Australian Red
Penfolds Bin 389 is often called 'Baby Grange' for the simple reason that it's aged in barrels previously used for Australia's most celebrated wine. Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and blackcurrant depth, while Shiraz adds richness, plum and a characterful peppery warmth — the two varieties working in seamless harmony.
A wine of genuine complexity and longevity, Bin 389 rewards patience in the cellar but can equally be enjoyed now alongside a prime cut of beef, slow-roasted lamb or aged hard cheeses. One of Australia's great wine benchmarks, year after year.
