About this wine

Bold & Distinctive

Pisano Family Vineyards craft this exceptional Tannat RPF Family Reserve with pride, showcasing the intensity and richness of Uruguay's flagship grape. Dark fruits, fine tannins and layers of spice come together in a wine that is powerful yet beautifully balanced, perfect for hearty dishes and special occasions.

As a family-run estate, Pisano has long championed sustainable winemaking, creating wines that reflect both tradition and place. This reserve bottling captures the character of their vineyards and the unique terroir of Uruguay, delivering a wine of remarkable depth and authenticity.

About the producer

Pisano Family Vineyards traces its roots to 1870, when Francesco Pisano arrived in Uruguay from Italy. His son Cesare planted the original vineyards in 1914, establishing a family tradition that now continues in its second generation with brothers Daniel, Eduardo and Gustavo Pisano. The estate follows biodynamic viticultural methods, cultivating low-yielding, high-density vines on chalky-clay soils in the cool maritime climate of southern Uruguay. Total production is deliberately limited to 18,000 cases per year. Tannat — the signature grape introduced to Uruguay by Basque immigrants in the 19th century — is the cornerstone of their acclaimed range.
