Retribution Just Juniper Gin is a remarkable expression of juniper-forward gin craft from Richard Lock's award-winning English distillery. Juniper takes centre stage in extraordinary quantities across multiple stages: steeped for 16 hours in high-ABV spirit, added to the boiler before distillation, and loaded into the still's vapour basket for intense aromatic character. Nine other botanicals support without overshadowing. When chilled or diluted, the gin may appear cloudy due to dissolved botanical oils, a phenomenon known as louching and a sign of the depth of flavour in each bottle.
On the nose, bold juniper and refreshing citrus; the palate delivers a harmonious balance with hints of spice and herbal undertones for a complex yet smooth experience. Each small batch of approximately 70 bottles is matured for four weeks before bottling. Enjoy with a high-quality tonic and a garnish of grapefruit or lime.
