About this wine

Yelland and Papps 'Second Take' Grenache is a fresh, dynamic expression of this iconic varietal from the Barossa Valley. A nose of ripe strawberries, raspberries and cherries, with a delicate touch of spice and dried herbs, leads to a palate of juicy red berries, plums and earthy complexity. Velvety, well-integrated tannins give way to a long, satisfying finish with a lingering freshness.

Aged in a combination of old oak and stainless steel to let the bright fruit flavours shine. Pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, roasted chicken, spicy barbecue and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Serve at room temperature to fully appreciate its depth.

About the producer

Yelland & Papps is a small family winery in the Barossa Valley, founded by Michael Papps and his partner Susan Yelland. The estate focuses on old-vine Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvèdre from heritage vineyards, with a philosophy rooted in low yields, minimal intervention, and organic farming. Their Second Take range offers an expressive, accessible entry into the Yelland & Papps style.
