Orange is a high-altitude wine region in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, situated at elevations of 600–1,100 metres on the slopes of an extinct volcano, Mount Canobolas. This cool-climate appellation is ideally suited to aromatic whites and elegant Pinot Noir, with long growing seasons.
