Why we chose it

“Yuzu is the citrus nobody can quite place, and it is the whole point of this bottle. Serve it very cold before a meal, or over ice — it sharpens the appetite rather than dulling it.”

About this wine

Akashi Tai Ginjo Yuzushu is a zesty, refreshing sake liqueur made by blending smooth ginjo sake with the juice of handpicked yuzu — a rare and aromatic Japanese citrus fruit. The result is an irresistible balance of sweet, sharp, and fragrant notes that awaken the palate and invite another sip.

Serve it chilled as an aperitif, pour over ice, or mix into cocktails — it's as versatile as it is distinctive. Crafted by the Akashi Sake Brewery with traditional techniques and a bold creative touch, this is a standout bottle for citrus lovers and sake explorers alike.

About the producer

Akashi Sake Brewery has worked on the shore of Osaka Bay in Hyogo since 1918, beginning in shochu before turning to the sake that made its Akashi-Tai name. Toji Kimio Yonezawa still brews in small hand-made batches, drawing on Hyogo's celebrated rice and soft water, and the brewery now exports its sake and liqueurs to some thirty-five countries.
