A Creamy Classic from Rioja

Coto de Imaz Blanco Reserva is a rare example of white Rioja aged with as much care as its red counterparts. Made from 100% Chardonnay and aged in French oak barrels, this wine is rich and golden, with flavours that unfold from citrus and pear to toasted almond and vanilla. There's structure, there's balance, and a long, textural finish that keeps you coming back for more.

It's ideal for lovers of fuller-bodied white wines, especially those who enjoy white Burgundy or creamy Chardonnay. With its silky texture and gentle oak, it pairs beautifully with roast chicken, grilled monkfish or rich cheese tarts. One to serve slightly chilled and savour slowly.

About the producer

Bodegas El Coto was founded in 1970 in Rioja Alavesa and has grown to become one of Rioja's most celebrated producers, with over 700 hectares of vineyard spanning all three sub-zones of the DOCa. Their flagship Coto de Imaz range — named after the 16th-century Imaz monastery on the estate — is sourced exclusively from single-village Cenicero grapes and has defined benchmark Rioja Reserva and Gran Reserva quality for generations.
