A South African Single Vineyard Malbec of Rare Character
Doolhof Limietberg Single Vineyard Malbec is grown in the Wellington wine ward of the Cape Winelands, where the unique terroir of the Limietberg range produces wines of great depth and individuality. The vines are planted on decomposed granite and shale soils at altitude, yielding naturally concentrated grapes with excellent natural acidity.
Inky and intense in the glass, it delivers aromas of dark plum, blackberry, violet, and a whisper of leather and spice. The palate is full and rounded, with silky tannins and a finish of impressive length. A wine of real substance and terroir honesty — wonderful with braised short ribs, lamb tagine, or a mature hard cheese.
