Henri Bardouin Pastis is a refined and characterful take on the traditional southern French aperitif. Crafted in the heart of Provence, this premium pastis stands apart thanks to its remarkable blend of over 65 botanicals, including aromatic herbs, spices, and plants. The result is a beautifully layered spirit, rich with notes of anise, liquorice, wild thyme, and warm spice, offering far greater depth than typical pastis styles.

Traditionally enjoyed diluted with cold water, it transforms into a cloudy, refreshing drink that captures the essence of Provençal culture. Ideal for slow sipping on a warm afternoon or as a sophisticated pre-dinner aperitif.

About the producer

Distilleries et Domaines de Provence has worked in Forcalquier, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, since 1898, drawing on the wild herbs of the surrounding plateau. Henri Bardouin joined the distillery in 1946 and came to own it in 1962; the pastis carrying his name arrived in 1990. More than sixty-five plants and spices go into it, well beyond the usual anise and liquorice.

Best ever Pastis

This is without doubt the King of Pastis. It has a full rounded flavour which puts all other brands in the shade. Certainly worth the extra money. Wouldn’t touch any other pastis.
