About this wine

Crafted from select parcels in the Cima Corgo, Quinta da Pedra Alta's QPA Prova No 2 2015 showcases the estate's precision and commitment to low-intervention winemaking. Now beautifully evolved, it unfolds layers of dark fruit, spice and warm earth, framed by supple tannins that reflect both time in bottle and the natural balance of the vintage.

The palate is smooth, generous and quietly powerful, carrying notes of blackberry, fig, cocoa and dried herbs. Long ageing has polished the structure, giving the wine a harmonious finish that lingers with warmth and finesse.

About the producer

Quinta da Pedra Alta is a premium Douro Valley estate located near Alijó in the Cima Corgo sub-region. The quinta holds the extraordinary distinction of having three original granite markers from the historic 1758 demarcation of the Douro wine region on its land. Since 2018, under owner Ed Woodward, resident winemaker João Pires, and Australian consultant Matt Gant, the estate has emerged as one of the Douro's most exciting producers of structured table wines and traditional Port.
