Why we chose it

“Terlano’s Pinot Grigio Tradition is the benchmark for Alto Adige PG, nothing like the flat Italian style. Mineral, textured and genuinely world-class.”

About this wine

Cantina Terlano Pinot Grigio Tradition is a beautifully refined white from the Dolomites foothills, offering a finely balanced bouquet of Williams pear, lychee, white melon and citrus blossom with an undercurrent of mown meadow florals and subtle minerality. The palate is seamless yet expressive, with melon, grapefruit zest and a touch of black tea combining with refreshing acidity for a medium-bodied, mellow experience that finishes with saline clarity.

Crafted with care from hand-harvested grapes from vineyards at 270 to 350m, with slow stainless-steel fermentation and five to seven months on lees to enhance texture and finesse.

About the producer

Cantina Terlano (Kellerei Terlan) is one of Italy's most celebrated co-operative wineries, founded in 1893 in the Alto Adige. Renowned for the extraordinary longevity of its white wines — particularly Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and the flagship Terlaner blend — the cantina has demonstrated that its wines can age for 30 or more years without losing freshness.
