About this wine

Troublemaker Blend 14 is a rich, full-bodied Californian red that refuses to play by the rules. Crafted by Austin Hope in Central California from Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, each fermented separately and blended to precision, it is full of ripe blackberry, dark cherry and plum, layered with mocha, vanilla and sweet spice. Oak ageing adds a smooth, velvety texture with hints of cedar and cocoa, leading to a long, satisfying finish.

Decant to unlock its full, layered complexity. Perfect with grilled meats, smoky barbecue or hearty pasta, a wine for those who like their reds with a bit of attitude.

About the producer

His Troublemaker blend is an annually varying expression of Rhône varieties — Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Petite Sirah, and Tannat — grown in the rugged Westside hills of Paso Robles. Hope is one of the Central Coast's most celebrated producers, crafting bold, sun-drenched reds that champion the Paso Robles Rhône style.
