About this wine

Villa Blanche Chardonnay is an award-winning wine from the Languedoc that rivals white Burgundy at a fraction of the cost. Crafted by Calmel & Joseph, it presents a light yellow hue with golden highlights and a captivating nose of white flowers, mango, vine peach and star anise. The palate is clean-cut and fresh, with juicy apricot, peach, acacia and pineapple flavours, finishing long, creamy and undeniably moreish.

Pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, seafood and creamy pasta dishes, and equally complements soft cheeses. A brilliant everyday Chardonnay that consistently punches well above its price point.

About the producer

Gérard Bertrand is the Languedoc-Roussillon's most celebrated wine producer — a former French international rugby player who became a pioneering winemaker and ambassador for the south of France. Based in the Minervois, Bertrand has acquired and developed numerous estates across the region, championing biodynamic viticulture and producing wines across a broad range, from accessible everyday cuvées like Villa Blanche to highly awarded single-estate wines. His vision has transformed the global perception of Languedoc wine.
