A Taste of Elegance from Canada
Introducing Westcott Vineyards Chardonnay, an elegant expression of the Chardonnay varietal from a small family producer in the unique climate of the Niagara region of Canada. This complex wine is a delightful reflection of the couple's passion for winemaking, resulting in a Chardonnay that showcases baked apple, spice, and pineapple flavours.
A Family Journey
Having enjoyed global careers in banking and tech, Grant Westcott and Carolyn Hurst knew they weren't the 'retiring' kind. With Carolyn's deep roots in the Niagara region and her passion for wine, along with Grant's background as a former cattle farmer, purchasing and running a vineyard felt like the perfect way for the couple to combine their passions. Initially, they aimed to grow grapes for other wineries but soon realised their vision was to produce their own wine under the Westcott Vineyards label.
With winemaker Arthur Harder joining the team, they crafted their first vintage in 2012. In true 'garagistes' style, their initial wines were made in their equipment barn while they navigated the permit process for the main winery building. Their continued study of cool climate viticulture and the guidance of expert Alain Sutre further enhanced their winemaking journey. The main building, featuring reclaimed timber from a 200-year-old barn, began construction in 2013, and by July 2014, the tasting room was open with their daughter, Victoria Westcott, leading the customer experience.
Rich Flavours and Aromas
Westcott Vineyards Chardonnay presents a beautiful golden hue that glimmers in the glass. The nose is a bouquet of vibrant aromas, featuring ripe pear, green apple, and delicate floral notes, complemented by hints of vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate, this Chardonnay is luscious and mouth-filling, showcasing flavours of baked apple, spice, and pineapple, all harmoniously balanced by bright acidity. The finish is long and refreshing, leaving a lasting impression of elegance.

This Chardonnay is perfect for a variety of occasions, whether you’re enjoying a special dinner, celebrating a milestone, or simply indulging in a quiet evening at home. This is my second order of 12 bottles! Lovely wine, easy drinking! Mellow, light fruity notes and a clean refreshing finish!
This Primitivo is waaaay above the equivalent you would be able to buy in a supermarket at a comparable price point.
It pairs really well with Lasagna and rich meaty pasta dishes. Stands up well with strong flavours, such as garlic.
In fact it would pair well with a beef stew from any country, goulash etc.
It is also a lovely velvety wine that could be enjoyed on its own after the meal.
Fantastic value and easy drinking, in a good way.
Great service from the he Wine Shop, really quick delivery well packed and the wine was splendid.
Wine Shop offered the best price and I can highly recommend them.
My first ever wine from the Wine Shop! This is a beautifully smooth wine but which also has a bit of ‘bite’. Very happy with this wine and I’ll be back!
Bought this as a present for my 22 year old son who was 15 when he first had a taste on a D Day visit 7 years ago. The wine is just as I remembered it, smooth and round, a delicious drink. My son also enjoyed the taste, as an adult.
It doesn’t get better than this!
I love Botter chianti. It has a great peppery finish and the bottle is a delight. Quick and reliable delivery too.
Amazing wine and a 24 hours delivery service.
Excellent service. Thank you
Very moreish sparkling Pinot Grigio at a reasonable price. Light and refreshing with none of the acidity or slight chemical aftertaste you often get with sparkling wines at this price. Went through a dozen bottles far too quickly.
This full fruity , complex red is our absolute favourite!
A delightfully crisp NZ wine with a citrusy finish. Well worth the money and went down well with all who participated
This is a superb wine - full but not heavy, fruity and smooth. Perfect for sharing on an autumn evening.
Stunning depth and rich body. I can almost tell if a red wine is going to be good by the lack of a white rim around when you pour the glass. This has a lovely blood ted colour and delivers.
I'm just going to be honest here, I'm a Gavi Girl and have been trying to find this little gem for a while. It's absolutely delicious and so adaptable too. Thrilled with the price, delivery and service and happily ordering more!
A lovely drink and remarkably good value . Smooth and buttery with that unmistakable Napa terroir writ large. Nothing not to like.
