We did our wine tasting last night, it was brilliant!!
There were only four of us in the end, but we all really enjoyed it. My husband dressed in his tux and took on the role of sommelier. We read your notes (about what to look for and how to taste) to start, and then got going. I did a starter size plate of food for each wine and it worked really well. Our overall favourite wine was the 770 Miles Zinfandel, but the real eye opener was the Chateau Lauvignac Sauternes sweet wine. This was just okay when we first tried it, but it took on a whole different taste and was lovely when we drank it along with a creme brulee.
As there were only four of us, we are going to enjoy the remaining wine over the next few days.
