The family estate of Alain Brumont, the man who put Madiran in south-west France on the world wine map. Since taking it over in 1979 he has become the region's leading figure, championing its bold local grape, Tannat. Bouscassé is the more classic, earthy expression of his work.

Tannat is the signature grape of Madiran — deeply coloured, powerful and famously tannic, making rich reds built to age. Bouscassé tames that power into something structured but approachable, with dark fruit and earthy depth. A great match for hearty, savoury dishes and grilled meats.

We offer a 365-day return policy — a full year to return unopened bottles, which is far longer than most independent merchants. To be eligible, items must be unopened, unused and in their original packaging. Return postage is arranged by you (we recommend a tracked service), and once we've received and inspected the return we'll refund your original payment method within five business days. Sale items and gift cards can't be returned.

Every order is packed in specialist wine packaging built for safe transit, so breakages are rare — and fully covered when they do happen.
