Cazcabel Tequila Anejo

£39.99

Deep amber gold with an elegant, complex aroma of rich caramel, dried fruit, dark chocolate and warm vanilla from a minimum of 18 months in American and French oak barrels. The palate is sophisticated and layered — cooked agave sweetness, toffee, dried citrus and a long, smooth, spiced finish. Cazcabel's finest expression: slow-aged to develop genuine depth and complexity, best enjoyed neat or over a single ice cube.

Why we chose it

“If your idea of tequila is a shot and a wince, this will rearrange it. Over a year in American oak — pour it neat into a decent glass and treat it like a good whisky.”

About this wine

Featured on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch and championed by tequila expert Deano Moncrieffe, Cazcabel Añejo Tequila is a celebration of patience and precision. Made from 100% blue weber agave and aged for over a year in American oak barrels, it delivers a velvety-smooth profile layered with toasted oak, vanilla, warm spice and soft caramel.

A true sipping tequila, this Añejo offers exceptional depth and complexity, perfect for connoisseurs or anyone seeking a refined twist on classic cocktails.

About the producer

Cazcabel is a family tequila house working in the highlands of Jalisco at Atotonilco El Alto, where the Vázquez family bring four generations of agave farming to the brand founded in 1997. Blue Weber agave grown at altitude gives the Blanco, Reposado and Añejo their depth, and the same spirit underpins a range of coffee, honey and coconut liqueurs.
