Why we chose it“Barbera d’Asti is one of Piedmont’s most food-friendly reds — bright cherry, high acidity, low tannin. It was made for pasta and it proves it every time.”

About this wine
A Taste of Piedmont's Heartland
Folli & Benato Barbera d'Asti is an approachable and easy-drinking young Barbera from Piedmont. Floral-tinged red berry aromas lead into plums and ripe strawberries on the palate, with a fresh and vibrant finish. Silky tannins and bright acidity keep it effortlessly balanced and food-friendly. The Barbera grapes are hand-harvested in late September, fermented with native yeast in stainless steel, and rested for four months before bottling.
A natural match for rich, savoury dishes — enjoy it alongside Bagna Càuda, tomato-based pastas, charcuterie, and aged cheeses. Serve slightly cool at around 16°C to enhance its bright fruit and refreshing acidity.
