About this wine
The Eleanor Hartenberg Chardonnay is the winery's super-premium white, a wine that truly earns its title. Crafted from cool-climate vineyards in Stellenbosch's Bottelary Hills, it reveals a brilliant pale gold hue and a captivating nose of creamy, nutty fruit with refreshing acidity, sleek minerality and bright citrus. A full year in all-new French oak brings warm vanilla, ripe peach and lemon curd to the palate, with a crisp, elegant texture and a long, lingering finish.
Established in 1692, Hartenberg Estate is one of South Africa's oldest wineries, where cellar master Carl Schultz has spent over two decades crafting pure, terroir-driven wines. Serve chilled at around 10 to 12°C alongside seafood, roasted chicken or creamy pasta.
