A lit wine bar with Christmas bottle displays and festive decorations

Dear Santa....

Hope you and Mrs Claus are well. This year has flown by and I can't believe I'm writing to you already — but the Wine Shop's new website has made the Christmas list rather a lot easier.

The Secret Santa

Lets start with my Secret Santa for work. Budget is no more than £20 and I've got the boss lady, so I need to make a good impression. I know she likes chocolate, so the Mozart Trio Liqueur — three miniature bottles of milk, dark and white chocolate liqueur — would hit the spot at £16.99.

For the Family

My brother-in-law is a lucky chap being with my sister, so he definitely deserves a bottle of Lucky Sod Irish Whisky at £24.99 — a delicious toffee caramel Irish whisky that suits him down to the ground.

My nieces love their cocktails, so the ready-made Coppa Cocktails Passion Fruit Martini for Rhianna and Rebekah will be perfect as they get ready for a night out, and the Espresso Martini for Ellie who loves coffee — all at £16.99 each.

We normally see cousins Jess and Charlie but not this year. They love their fizz, so I'll ask the Wine Shop to post the six-bottle Wine Rack Filler Italian Fizz Case at £59.99 direct to them.

Christmas Day Essentials

We have a full house coming and with so many personalities and tastes it'll be another comical Christmas. Uncle Peter has already put in a request for a sherry trifle — the Barbadillo Cream Sherry at £13.99 is exactly what we need, and I don't mind a tipple either, so thanks Uncle Peter.

Port for Great Auntie Mord

Barão de Vilar 10-Year-Old Tawny Port

Great Auntie Mord is due to visit — how she keeps going I don't know, maybe it's the fortification in the Port. The Wine Shop ran two Port tastings this year and the Barão de Vilar 10-year-old Tawny was the top Port on both nights. That's a must.

Now let's talk wine. We need a wide range to suit everyone's taste, so the twelve-bottle Christmas Wine & Bubbles Case at £159 is perfect. And to make sure we have plenty throughout the whole of Christmas week, I'm going for the Baker's Dozen at £115 as well. That way everyone is covered — especially me, to get through this year.

Stocking Fillers

Don't forget the Norfolk Nog for Mrs Santa — you know she loves a tipple while you're out delivering on Christmas Eve. And if you're thinking of stocking fillers for me, the Wine Shop has some delicious festive treats, including these fun Chocolate Brussels Sprout Truffles at £13.99.

Thanks again as always!
