Babylonstoren Babel is a dry, full-bodied red wine that showcases the unique terroir of South Africa's Cape Winelands. Grown on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain, between Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, and Paarl, this expressive blend combines 34% Shiraz, 24.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 8% Malbec, 7% Petit Verdot, 5.5% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Pinotage.
Deep ruby in colour, it opens with enticing aromas of pencil shavings, sweet tobacco, mulberry, cherry, and dark chocolate. On the palate, layers of dark red berries and cocoa unfold with a soft, velvety mouthfeel and a juicy, lingering finish — a perfect expression of balance and Cape craftsmanship.
