Why we chose it

“Dark cherry, dried herbs and a warming Puglia finish — Negroamaro at its best. One of those wines that tastes like it should cost more than it does.”

About this wine

Rich & Warming

Marchese di Borgosole Salice Salentino is a robust red that showcases the bold character of southern Italy. Made predominantly from Negroamaro, it offers deep flavours of dark berries, dried herbs, and hints of spice, all wrapped in a velvety texture. The finish is smooth yet powerful, reflecting the warmth of Puglia's sun-drenched vineyards.

This wine is a classic partner for richly flavoured dishes. Think roasted meats, tomato-based pasta, or aged cheeses — all of which complement its depth and intensity beautifully. A timeless Italian red that brings authenticity and heart to the table.

About the producer

Casa Vinicola Botter was founded in 1928 when Carlo Botter and his wife Maria began selling wine in the village of Fossalta di Piave, near Venice. Now in its third generation under Luca, Annalisa, and Alessandro Botter, the family company has grown into one of Italy's largest wine exporters, with a capacity of 23.5 million litres and a range spanning every major Italian appellation. Their own labels — including Cortestrada — capture each region's character with reliability and craft.
