Why we chose it

“Australian Riesling is criminally underrated in the UK. This cool-climate WA version is dry, mineral, citrussy — try it with Thai food and you’ll be converted.”

About this wine

This elegant Eden Valley Riesling bursts with lifted floral notes and intense citrus aromatics. The palate delivers vibrant green apple and pear, balanced by taut minerality and refreshing acidity. A long, zesty finish leaves hints of lemon sherbet and wet stone, making every sip crisp and invigorating.

Serve well chilled at 8–10°C to enhance its bright acidity and freshness. Perfectly paired with fresh seafood, spicy Thai dishes, or a classic goat's cheese salad.

Brothers at War is the creation of Sam and Angus Wardlaw, sons of renowned Barossa winemaker David Wardlaw. What started as a weekend experiment in 2013 with a single tonne of Shiraz has grown into a shared passion for crafting world-class wines from small parcels of exceptional fruit. Alongside their grower Chris Alderton, the brothers have built a reputation for producing wines with purity, balance, and regional expression.

About the producer

Brothers at War is a Barossa Valley producer run by brothers Nick and John Glaetzer, who transformed a long-running family disagreement into a creative winemaking partnership. Their wines draw on their deep roots in the Barossa, using old vines and traditional techniques to produce rich, characterful Shiraz and Riesling that capture the essence of this iconic Australian region.
