Why we chose it

“Lussac Saint-Émilion is Saint-Emélion’s quieter satellite — same Merlot-led style at a gentler price. Château Pont de Pierre is a reliable producer.”

About this wine

Classic Right Bank Elegance

Located in the heart of AOC Lussac Saint-Émilion, Château Pont de Pierre is crafted predominantly from Merlot (around 75%) with a touch of Cabernet Franc. The vineyards thrive on clay and limestone soils — perfect for producing high-quality grapes with depth and finesse. Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks preserves purity, elegance, and varietal character.

The result is a fine expression of Right Bank Bordeaux: deep ruby in colour with aromas of ripe plum, cassis, and cedar spice. Smooth tannins and a refined structure lead to a long, harmonious finish, making it a perfect partner for classic French cuisine or a quiet evening glass.

About the producer

Château Pont de Pierre is a Bordeaux estate producing wine from Lussac Saint-Émilion, one of the satellite appellations neighbouring the prestigious Saint-Émilion plateau. Located on the rolling limestone hills of the Right Bank, the château produces Merlot-dominant red wines that reflect the generosity and plush texture characteristic of the Saint-Émilion family of wines. Approachable in youth but with the structure to age gracefully.
