About this wine

This full-bodied red from Château Grand Escalion blends Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre from the Costières de Nîmes, delivering deep notes of blackberry, plum and sweet spice. Produced by Gabriel Meffre, it balances savoury herbs and a distinct garrigue character with smooth tannins and a rich, warming finish, a wine that captures the warm Mediterranean climate and the estate's expertise.

Certified High Environmental Value with a Protected Designation of Origin, this is a structured and satisfying red, ideal with braised lamb, beef stew or mature hard cheeses. Full-flavoured and well-balanced, it represents excellent value from one of the Languedoc's most dynamic appellations.

About the producer

Château Grand Escalion is a domaine in the Costières de Nîmes, a rugged southern Rhône appellation where ancient galets roulés pebbles and the relentless Mistral wind create conditions of unique intensity. The Haut Turcas cuvée represents the château's finest selection, combining Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre to produce a wine of concentrated dark fruit, Provençal herbs, and sun-warmed spice typical of this spectacular Mediterranean terroir.
