Why we chose it

“Southern French Sauvignon — good everyday white, crisp and clean. Not Loire complexity, but honest fruit at a fair price.”

About this wine

Crisp, Fresh & Southern French

Domaine de la Baume Sauvignon Blanc is produced in the sun-drenched Languedoc region of southern France, where cool nights help preserve the grape's natural freshness and aromatic intensity. The estate's commitment to quality viticulture results in a wine that is vibrant, precise, and eminently drinkable.

Expect lifted aromas of citrus blossom, green apple, and freshly cut grass, with a clean, crisp palate and a mineral-edged finish. This is an excellent all-rounder — wonderful as an aperitif, with goat's cheese, or alongside grilled fish and salads.

About the producer

Domaine de la Baume is a historic estate near Servian in Languedoc, with roots dating to 1880 when the Prat family rebuilt its vineyards after the phylloxera crisis. Owned by the Helfrich family since 2003, the 176-hectare estate is planted to an impressive range of international varieties including Merlot, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc, crafted to express the generosity of the Mediterranean climate with elegance and freshness.
