About this wine

Herdade de São Miguel is a large modern estate in the Alentejo — the warm, sun-baked southern plains of Portugal that produce some of the country's most characterful and food-friendly reds. Owned by the Relvas family near Vidigueira, the estate works with indigenous Portuguese varieties including Aragonez and Trincadeira, producing wines of genuine Alentejo warmth and personality at an accessible price.

Deep ruby with a bold, inviting nose of dark plum, cassis, dried herb and a hint of warm oak spice. Medium-to-full-bodied on the palate with ripe, generous fruit and a warm, satisfying finish. A natural match for grilled steak, slow-roasted pork, lamb or robust tomato-based pasta dishes.

About the producer

Herdade de São Miguel is a large and modern Alentejo estate owned by the Relvas family, situated near Vidigueira in one of the Alentejo's warmest and most celebrated sub-zones. The estate produces wines from both indigenous Portuguese varieties — Aragonez, Trincadeira, Antão Vaz — and international grapes, crafting wines of warmth, fruit concentration, and distinctive Alentejo character.
