Why we chose it“Grande Champagne fruit at VS level is not something you see every day. Fresh and lively rather than heavy, which makes it a very good base for a Sidecar.”

About this wine
Maison Maxime Trijol is a fourth-generation family Cognac house based in the heart of the Grande Champagne cru, the most prestigious growing area of the Charente, famed for producing the most complex and age-worthy cognacs. Founded in 1859, the house sources fruit from its own vineyards and those of long-standing local growers, distilling in traditional copper pot stills and ageing in French Limousin oak barrels.
This VS expression is aged for a minimum of two years in oak, producing a fresh and accessible Cognac with summer fruit, honey, vanilla and warm spice. Lively on the palate, it is excellent served neat, with ice, or as a base for classic Cognac cocktails including the Sidecar and French 75.
