Père Magloire Fine V.S Calvados is a classic expression of Normandy's apple brandy tradition. Crafted from carefully selected cider apples and aged in French oak casks, it offers aromas of ripe apple and pear, vanilla and gentle spice. The palate is smooth, fresh and delicately warming, leading to a long, elegant finish.

About the producer

Père Magloire has made Calvados in the Pays d'Auge since 1821, taking its name from a Norman innkeeper renowned for the quality of what he poured. The house works from Pont-l'Évêque at the heart of the AOC, drawing on around a hundred cider-apple varieties, and eight generations of cellar masters have succeeded one another in its ageing stores.

Memories in a bottle

Bought this as a present for my 22 year old son who was 15 when he first had a taste on a D Day visit 7 years ago. The wine is just as I remembered it, smooth and round, a delicious drink. My son also enjoyed the taste, as an adult.
