About this wine

Rosé Pineau des Charentes from Jules Gautret, Charentes

Jules Gautret is a historic cooperative house from Jonzac in the Charentes, established in 1960 and one of the leading names in the production of Cognac and Pineau des Charentes. Pineau des Charentes is a fortified mistelle — a blend of fresh, unfermented grape juice and young Cognac eau-de-vie — a regional speciality produced exclusively in the Charentes, where this blend of fresh fruit and spirit has been made by Cognac producers for centuries.

This rosé expression delivers strawberry, raspberry and red cherry on the nose, with a gently sweet, fruity palate and a warm, soft finish from the Cognac spirit. Serve lightly chilled as a classic French aperitif, alongside foie gras, melon, fresh strawberries or soft cheese, or simply enjoy on its own before dinner.
