Why we chose it“Sauvignon Blanc with a Portuguese twist. I love how the local Fernão Pires rounds it out with stone fruit. Pour it with grilled fish on a warm evening.”

About this wine
Vinha dos Pardais Branco is a bright, refreshing white from Portugal's Setúbal Peninsula, blending Sauvignon Blanc with the local Fernão Pires grape, known here as Maria Gomes. The Sauvignon brings zesty citrus and a crisp green edge, while Fernão Pires adds ripe stone fruit and a delicate floral lift. Made simply in stainless steel to keep all of its vibrancy, it finishes with lively acidity and a clean, mineral note.
The wine takes its name from the Vineyard of Sparrows, a single vineyard area named after the birds that call it home. It is made by Quinta do Piloto, a long-standing family estate in Palmela now run by fourth-generation winemaker Filipe Cardoso. Serve it well chilled with grilled white fish, garlicky prawns or a summer salad, or enjoy a glass on its own as an easy, refreshing aperitif.
