The Setúbal Peninsula lies south of Lisbon along the Tagus and Sado estuaries, encompassing the wine sub-regions of Palmela and Setúbal. The area is best known for its luscious, long-aged Moscatel de Setúbal, one of Portugal's most distinctive fortified wines, as well as bold reds from Castelão.
