About this wine
Finca Sophenia is an estate winery in Tupungato in the Valle de Uco sub-region of Mendoza, situated at elevations of around 1,400 metres above sea level. The high altitude and wide diurnal temperature variation of this outstanding Andean terroir produce grapes of exceptional freshness, concentration and elegance. Synthesis 'The Blend' is the estate's flagship red, blending Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a European winemaking sensibility that sets it apart from the crowd.
Full-bodied and generous, the wine shows intense dark plum, blackcurrant and a characteristic note of violet, with velvety tannins and superb length on the finish. Sophisticated and food-ready, it pairs naturally with Argentine steak, slow-braised lamb and robust aged cheeses.
