About this wine
Hawke's Bay Albariño with a Touch of the Pacific
Harvested in March 2024 from the Mangatahi Terraces in Hawke's Bay, the Swift Albariño is a vibrant and modern take on this Galician grape variety. Aromas of yellow nectarines, white spice, orange blossom and lifted florals lead to a textural, full-bodied palate with a hint of saltiness and a lick of oyster shell -- a nod to New Zealand's coastal terroir.
Made with low-intervention winemaking principles, the grapes spent 18 hours on skins to reduce acidity and build intensity before barrel fermentation with natural yeast. Fresh, characterful and wonderfully versatile, this Albariño is as happy alongside seafood as it is at a summer picnic.
