Produced at Crama de Matei within the Vintruvian Estate, this boutique Romanian winery focuses on low yields and meticulous vineyard work to achieve concentration and character. Located in the eastern expanse of Dealu Mare, Crama de Matei is a hidden gem bathed in sunlight and gently kissed by the wind. The Rosturi range reflects a thoughtful approach to blending, bringing together the plush richness of Merlot with the backbone and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon for a wine that is both expressive and age-worthy.

About the producer

Crama deMatei works eighty hectares in the eastern reaches of Romania's Dealu Mare, on the Tegăneanu and Zorilor hills where some vines are over forty years old. The winery was formed in 2019 when Vintruvian Estates acquired the Zorești property and the Prince Matei label, in production since 1998, and set about reworking both vineyard and cellar.
